Lacunae is a collection that explores the fragile boundaries between presence and absence, memory and erasure. Each portrait is fractured, partially dissolved into layers of peeling surfaces, cracks, or remnants of forgotten texts. Faces emerge and disappear at the same time, suspended in a state of incompleteness. The works evoke the feeling of something once whole but now irreversibly broken, leaving behind only fragments — silent witnesses of what used to be. They are not portraits in the traditional sense, but meditations on loss, erosion, and the spaces left by what has vanished. In Lacunae, absence itself becomes visible: a map of fissures, a text fading into silence, a beauty consumed by time. The collection stands as a quiet elegy for memory — for what we keep, what we lose, and what is left in between.
